"Everyone is created equal before the eyes of God"- is a very popular saying and as you walk into the Xavier's Resource Centre for the Visually Challenged(XRCVC), you would definitely like to believe that. Though limited by sight, the students at XRCVC are no more different than you and me. Watching them powered by immense grit, determination and a never say die attitude you adore and respect life exactly the way it was meant to be. Antarchakshu provides you just that-A perfect opportunity to experience a world which is the same as ours but yet very different. It is a sensitization workshop-cum-exhibition organized by the XRCVC, St Xavier’s College, Mumbai aimed to spread awareness about the lives of the visually challenged. It is a two day workshop which takes you through a series of events relating to the day-to-day experiences of a visually challenged person. The obstacles and challenges that they overcome leave you enthralled. While going through the events you would be blindfolded and after the completion of the tasks, the blindfold taken off enables you to see much more than before..you open your eyes to a whole new world where darkness gets a makeover !
Antarchakshu - the eye within... is an eye-opener about a world rarely explored before.
Antarchakshu is back and would be held on 9th and 10th September,2011..So be there..!!
